I figured I’d bring you this article on how to efficiently grind the Pit in Diablo 4 because I know that everybody wants to level up their gear to level 8 or even level 12 but may not know the best methods to get there and do it efficiently.
Today’s article is going to be all about maximizing efficiency. This is going to be similar to how we discussed Greater Rifts in Diablo 3 and how to efficiently farm these levels to maximize your return or your rewards. This way, you can level up your Diablo 4 items gear in the fastest way possible. Note that this video is not about pushing high levels but rather about farming efficiently to maximize your returns.
As you all know, the Pit is our brand new endgame system. We’re using the Pit to farm three crucial resources: the Abdusite, the Inalis, and the Nethran. These resources are essential for leveling up your gear. From ranks 1 to 4, you need Abdusite; from 5 to 8, you need Inalis; and from 8 to 12, you need Nethran. Here’s a breakdown of where to get these resources:
- Abdusite: From tiers 1 to 30.
- Inalis: From tiers 31 to 60.
- Nethran: From tiers 61 and above.
Understanding these tiers and resources is critical to farming efficiently. To give you an idea of the costs involved, here’s a quick rundown:
• 100 Abdusite to take one piece of gear from Level 0 to 4 Masterwork costs approximately 750 gold.
• 260 Inalis to go from Level 4 to 8.
• 550 Nethran to go from Level 8 to 12. Note that the gold cost significantly increases for these final levels, but today’s patch will reduce this cost.
Now, let’s talk strategy. I’ve made a spreadsheet and done the math to help you guys out. Here’s how you can maximize your efficiency:
Efficient Farming Strategy
- For Abdusite (Blues):
Tier 25: This is the optimal tier. Completing it in under three minutes should yield 34 Abdusite per run. You need only three runs to level up one piece of gear from 0 to 4.
- For Inalis (Yellows):
Tier 55: This tier is optimal for farming Inalis. Sub-three-minute runs yield 44 Inalis per run. You need six runs to level up one piece of gear from 4 to 8.
- For Nethran (Legendaries):
Tier 80: Completing this tier in under three minutes will yield 40 Nethran per run. You need 14 runs to level up one piece of gear from 8 to 12.
These numbers are based on extensive testing across all classes, ensuring they work universally.
Optimizing Your Runs
The way tiers work is quite interesting. For example, at lower tiers, the increase in resources is small and consistent, but at higher tiers, the jumps can be significant. This means you need to find a sweet spot where you can complete runs quickly and efficiently.
If you can farm higher tiers, such as T100, in three to four minutes, go for it. The returns will be even better. However, the above tiers (25, 55, 80) are optimal for most players.
Crafting and Transmutation
A critical part of efficient farming is knowing when to transmute higher-tier Diablo IV materials into lower-tier ones. Here’s why tier 66 is a strategic choice:
• Tier 66 yields 25 Nethran per run. In 22 runs, you can level up one legendary item from 8 to 12.
• Transmutation: You can convert 100 Nethran into 300 Inalis or Abdusite. This means four runs at tier 66 can give you enough resources to level up gear from 4 to 8 or even 0 to 4.
This strategy leverages the transmutation system to maximize returns. For example, running tier 66 four times nets you 100 Nethran, which can be transmuted into 300 Inalis, enough to level up one piece of gear from 4 to 8.
Practical Tips
- Gold Management: Diablo 4 Gold is a significant bottleneck in masterworking gear. While the resource costs for leveling are manageable, gold costs can be steep. Efficient farming resources ensure that when you have the gold, you can make the most of it.
- Resetting Gear: If you don’t like the stats on a piece of gear, resetting it from 8 to 0 costs 5 million gold. This is the same for any item at any rank. Knowing this, you can efficiently farm and manage your resources to ensure you’re not wasting gold on resets.
Conclusion
That’s my guide on efficiently farming the Pit in Diablo 4 Season 4. This approach helps you maximize your returns and ensures you can level up your gear without wasting time or resources.
